I think it’s been 4 years since I used New Look 6000.
This time I went through a frenzy to make this pattern work for my current body.
The original shape adjustments are still the same – sway back; forward shoulders.
I did find that the dress bust point was 2.5cm lower than my current bust point. How does that happen?

Anyway, the sleeve of this dress is from my bodice block pattern. I had originally sewed this sleeve into the linen/mesh Amelia dress. Then I was able to finagle linen/mesh sleeves from the remaining fabrics.
Which meant – what do I do with these teal sleeves?
Make New Look 6000 again and see what it looks like.
Have a look at the YouTube video to see how the back of this dress uses plain black fabric.
You might also notice there is centre back fullness that does me not favours. I’m adjusting the centre back seam so there is great booty shaping and a level hem.
All the fabrics and notions are from my stash. This is my way of cleaning out what I’ve kept for many, many years.
