Vogue 8574 and this Minerva Exclusive Black Cherry Ombre on viscose worked!

Vogue 8574 was printed in 2009. It’s from Vogue’s easy pattern range so I’ve owned this pattern for a while and this is the first time I’ve used it.

Adjustment details.

Added 2cm to bodice side seams

Removed 4cm from the bodice at neckline

Used an invisible zipper when the pattern was designed for a dress zipper. I did not read the instructions carefully.

Lined the bodice with the fashion fabric because the fabric feels great against my skin.

I will remove 3cm from the hem length now that I know the skirt is too long for my height.

Love this colour choice and how I could use the lighter colour at the neckline through to the black at the hem.

The bodice now gives me enough coverage to wear a stock standard cross back bra.
