Sewing my pink linen dress during the week made me more aware of all the pink clothes people were showcasing this month. Once I looked into this, as the pink linen dress had to be sewn.

@kizzystitches and @armena_sews in October have been running a ‘sew pink 2026’ challenge to create awareness and provide online support to those dealing with breast cancer.
The pink linen fabric was cut out in August and was sitting at my sewing machine waiting to be completed when I got home.

The dress is lined with a soft cotton fabric so I can wear it once the heat and humidity hits us in the coming weeks. New Look 6000 has been a handy evening and everyday dress pattern.
Sydney Frocktails was a day event and it was good to have the option to wear daywear. It also gave me to option to turn up early in the city and do some ready to wear style idea shopping with my phone, before getting to the venue.

Linda insisted we take this group pic. I enjoyed catching up with Linda and Vivienne for a chat amongst everyone that was there. Definitely have a look at Linda’s post with this latest dress she’s sewn.
