Sewn and not worn

Let me explain.

London Frocktails was on 9 October 2026. We left Sydney on 1 September to travel and kind of finish in London on 12 October.

Travel means you see new places and experience the food and culture. In my case I love to try new foods as we travel. That also means I end up weighing more.

Here’s the photo I took once I finished sewing New Look 6000 in fabric from my stash.

I love these bronze tones, and these fabrics were probably meant to be lining, for clothes I hadn’t sewn to date.

I did wear the black watch tartan version using New Look 6000 for Scottish Frocktails on 5 September 2026.

That was an awesome weekend. You can see a few familiar local faces including Donna and Alex with me from Australia. Can you spot a couple of Sewing Bees including Carmen who won the French Sewing Bee series 1?

Plan B was the Amelia dress pattern by Minerva dot com using more of my stash fabrics actually worn at London Frocktails on 9 October 2026.

Both London and Scottish Frocktails had a runway on the night. The runway idea is a bit of fun and most of the time, people can’t see me in a crowd so why not showcase my sewing amongst sewing friends.

I had worn Plan A dress and I’m still happy that I have kept it for another event.
