BlossomSandwich or Yvette as we know her from Stash Hub and SurreySews, runs SewFruity. This year of course, it was SewFruity26 and we tagged BlossomSandwich so she could find our entries.

These were my 2 entries. Pineapple or lemon colour merino knit and a very fruity print for a long sleeve shirt.

Sew Fruity is all about fun. Sew something fun. Have fun sewing something new. Anything!

Sewing doesn’t need to be a serious endeavour. It can be. And we can choose to sew projects we simply enjoy.

Because June is the start of our Winter, these were my entries.

Each piece sewn here using Kwik Sew 3567. It’s an old pattern that gets lots of use when it gets cold around here.

Kwik Sew 3567 has a high v neck option that I always use for Winter knits.

These 3 fabrics were from my fabric stash. I’ve been cleaning up my sewing room for ages and I’m getting used to finding fabrics I want to keep and fabrics that need a new home. Not my home anymore.

The reason I chose this print is to try out Rivi blouse by Chalk and Notch patterns. This is a new pattern company for me. I wanted to try out the sizing and proportions. Yes you can’t see the detailing and I’ve since made adjustments to this pattern for the next version, when the weather warms up again.

I’ll use sizes 6 and 8 for the next version. I’ll also sharpen the yoke detailing as it doesn’t sit on my body the same as it’s drafted on the fit model.

And yes, I’ve drafted a similar version using my bodice block because I want a closer fit blouse. That’s just my preference.
