This is the least demanding fabric I used for some time now.

I hope you like my version of Minerva’s latest fabric collection launch with Melissa Lowry.

The composition of this fabric is 100% cotton.

The cotton lawn base feels soft and the fabric is very easy to cut, sew and hem. Fine hemming is what I’ve done on this version.

Ironing the hem in place was a dream.

I’ve used McCalls 3184 wrap top View C with a collar. This cotton is perfect to sew a really sharp collar.

As you can see, this is also a lovely fabric for draping. The fabric weight is less than 100. It’s 78 gsm.

140cm wide so there’s lots of fabric width to tinker with as you place your pattern pieces on this fabric.

This top is perfect now for travelling with. Generally taking a cotton top for travel means lots of ironing. I think you would agree this is a great colour choice and draped shirt that wouldn’t show the creases

While this is a floral print, the type of print is very urban.

The floral is large and clear and in this colourway, it’s really great for meetings and pairing it with suits, if you work in a corporate environment.

I’d love to know Melissa Lowry’s background because this print is a timeless style I’ll be wearing a lot in the future.
