New Look 6058 has been in my pattern stash for a while. I like how New Look pattern give you enough patterns in 1 purchase to create a capsule look.

View C at a lovely structured camisole top designed for woven fabrics.

The camisole I’ve made here is a test run for a dress.

I’ve used the fabric remnant from the #bhmpatterndesigner fabric from 2021 to tweak the bodice and make sure the darts and straps work for me. I’d like to wear a bra under this camisole without the straps showing.

In on of these photos, I had my husband mark on the fabric where the bra strap was showing at the back of this top.

As you can see I’ve now been able to place the straps in the correct place. I’ve also taken 5cm off the length of the straps so they sit in place on my body.

The next version I’ll make using New Look 6058 will be the test dress.

I’ve been enjoying wearing this camisole right now in the middle of our peak Summer weather. It’s very comfortable and is great to wear with shorts, trousers and skirts.

The instructions to sew in an invisible zipper are easy to follow and you get a good result too.
