You saw the work that went into making sure the fabric lined up at the seams.
You also saw the work that went into changing New Look 6000 to make the front of this dress match the dress in Mad Men. In the previous post is the front detailing that goes into the bodice and skirt faux button feature. I’m so pleased with the front bow and centre back zipper. I am not that flexible so I’m enjoying the fact that the back zipper is shorter than I should have bought. This dress is easy to get into and out of. The inside cotton poplin lining made this a great dress to wear in our humid weather.

Thanks for reading along the dress design steps and construction methods. #sewshownseated is how I’ll be photographing my makes from now on to allow sewists who have accessibility challenges in life, know more about the clothes I make.
You’ll definitely find this post and more on my Minerva Brand Ambassador page. I love sewing for Minerva and sharing my makes with you.
