Create Your Summer Look with Fara & Laurel Patterns

This was my perfect pattern to start sewing linen fabrics for Summer weather.

Ann of @designerstitch has just released the new Fara & Laurel linen pattern set – modern lines, effortless comfort, and beautifully wearable. I sewed two Fara tops with the petal sleeve and honestly… they’re so pretty. That sleeve was love at first stitch and works perfectly with linen. I used both a lighter weight linen (pink) and a medium weight linen (teal print).

Best part? Both tops mix seamlessly with my existing wardrobe, so they’ll get plenty of wear.

My sewing‑nerd brain did insist on a toile to get the proportions right. I shortened the Fara bodice by 4 cm on size 3 and that was it. No sleeve alterations needed at all.

I’ve been keen to sew this pattern since Ann was designing it for pattern testing, and the sleeve facing was the perfect excuse to add a little trim to the pink version ✨
