I sewed a belt for McCalls 8139

It’s been a year since I sewed this dress and I really didn’t like the way it sat on my body.

Love this fabric.

Minerva Exclusive Electric Blooms Tencel Lyocell Twill POD Fabric Surge is so lovely to sew, iron, wash and certainly wear.

As this dress, this is perfect for the Summer we’re already experiencing.

But the waist. It needed something.

After searching through my stash, I found a very slim sparkly buckle. Just the right width for what I wanted.

Yes the buckle sparkles but so does this print.

It’s a perfect match.

In the belt, the belt loops are sewing into the belt.

On the dress, I’ve added 5 slim belt loops.

The result is a gorgeous party dress that sparkles from top to bottom.
