Sewing blitz ahead

Warning. There’s a bunch of sewing that you’ll be reading about in a series of posts.

Firstly there’s this gauze co-ord that wasn’t meant to be a co-ord but it is.

On these pieces I’ve used McCalls 5633 and Charmed Patterns Rita Blouse.

Neither of these are new patterns so I can rest assured the pattern companies won’t use my photos for their social media because these are not new patterns.

I bought Charmed Patterns Rita Blouse when Gertie started off her pattern company. In a way I’m one of the many sewists that helped get Gertie started.

She’s done the hard yards and created an ongoing indie pattern company. Vintage isn’t my style but I took a punt and bought this pattern.

I should have used a smaller size but I’ll use the same sizing for a more stable woven and see how that turns out.

What I will say is I’m really happy with this gauze fabric. This gauze fabric is one of my Minerva Brand Ambassador fabrics that I chose. I didn’t pay for the fabric and I’m bound to sew and promote this fabric within the timeframes we agree to.

Sit back and follow my blog as I go through all the sewing I’ve done in the last 7 days.

The sewing tally using 3 different Minerva fabrics is 2 cargo pants, 2 tops and plans for a coat and blouse.
