Dog sitting sewing

Two pairs of cozzies and one dress later, I’ve had a successful dog sitting weekend.

I’ve never dog sat before so my planning process was more about my sewing projects than learning how to care for the family pooch.

It’s the end of Summer here and the prospect of wearing the same trusty but tired cozzies made me decide to make a couple of cozzies and finish off my frocktails dress.

The duchess satin navy dress now has the front zip sewn in and I’m now hemming it so I can wear it to frocktails soon. The pattern is Papercut patterns and it’s the Yoyo dress.

There’s a floral Yoyo dress that I sewed last month and that’s ready as an alternative frocktails dress.

The first time I blogged Kwik Sew 2962 was in 2014. This is a real handy pattern. I sewed with this pattern in 2017 after printing my own Terrigal beach print.

The pinkish on white print version above was bought The Remnant Warehouse a few years ago.

The dark floral print was bought from Julia Allisson Cost last year.

The dark floral print now has the elastic and that took 3 hours to sew. I’ll sew in the elastic into the pinkish on white print version soonish.

The last part of the cozzie puzzle is to sew in the bust cups, also bought from The Remnant Warehouse.

Cheers for now.
