I’ve now put on weight and the thought of getting rid of clothes I’ve sewn because I’m fatter isn’t a solution as I refuse to add to landfill.

I grabbed my unpicker and decided to add two wide red stripes of fabric as side panels on this dress. This side seams were easy enough to unpick over 2 evenings.

The side pockets are still in the dress. The panel fabric is from a fabric in my stash.

Changing the sleeve was not part of the solution and I was able to leave the sleeve as is.
