Three years later… this stripe fabric is now a blouse!

Back in 2022, I picked up this fabric at John Lewis in the UK. It’s been sitting in my stash ever since, taunting me while I wondered how to use it.
Fast forward to now: @designerstitch Rylie Shirt launched last month, and while travelling I saw so many chic side-tie styles. That’s when the dots connected—this stripe was destined for this blouse.

Why do I sew? Because I want clothes that fit beautifully, no matter how my shape changes over time.
Fabric + buttons = stash finds ✅ That’s my #2fromstashamonth for Helga @salixsews and Nicole @septemberfaden
Shirt adjustments:
✔ Right front is longer than the left
✔ Pink hem added to the right front
✔ Stripes balanced across the front pieces
✔ Pink stripe featured on cuffs & collar
✔ Body shortened by 5cm (size 4)
✔ Sleeves shortened by 4cm with simple placket used
I’ve paired this blouse with black jeans using Designer Stitch Peyton jeans.
