Stylists say to wear close fitting tops and since it’s Winter, this is my very thin layering option now.

I was road testing Sew Over It Edie top and decided to use the remaining piece of this fabric I sewed up earlier this year.
It seemed a waste to not use this fabric.
The colour is a lovely navy blue. This pairs well with all the denim clothes I’ve sewn over the last 2 years.
I also like the embroidered aspect of this fabric.

For the Winter, I thought using this fabric for a really light sweater would be a good idea.
Kind of road testing out how this would look.
What I forgot was to reinforce the neckline.
My solution was to insert swimwear elastic for the actual length of the neckline and slightly pull it for a gathered finish.
The Edie is not a full length sleeve. For my project idea I added a cuff using the same fabric to see if this worked.
It did!
Today I wore this top with a thermal underlayer and a puffy vest and headed into town to meet some friends for lunch.

Mission accomplished!
I paired this top with my Designer Stitch Peyton jeans. Adding colour to winter.
