Victoria blouse

Here’s a palette cleanse sewing project. Minerva has a couple of patterns and I decided to try the Victoria Blouse.

Take a close look a the hem. Firstly on the patten and then look at the version I sewed.

The pattern has a mullet back hem. Mullet means the back hem is lower than the front hem.

I evened the hems so they hit my body were I’m most comfortable. I’m short so I have to be really careful about where hems sit on me.

I’ve used a remnant of Minerva’s viscose prints from last year. This is a comfy fabric and is brilliant for this blouse style.

The pattern comes with a Minerva clothing tag and the tag colours suit the print.

I used size D. I didn’t use the sleeve cuff. There’s just way too much print to actually go the trouble of adding the sleeve cuff to be worth doing on this test version.

I would use the sleeve cuff for a plain fabric.

Now that I’ve made it, worn it, tweaked the length – I’ll make this blouse again and again.
