January sewing frenzy

Up until Friday, I was sewing like crazy. Not sure why.
Maybe I wanted to sew up some ideas that had been mulling in my head last year.
The floral below is two pieces. The denim is the ombre remnants.

On Monday I took a stack of photos which you can see on this post.
I’ll gradually prep the posts for each one so both you and I can see what worked to get these garments together.

Miss Quinn from Mimiquins has been a huge help in getting the fit right for these dresses. In 2025 I sewed these two Chacarita wrap dresses and they sit much better on my waist now.

Next month I’m prepping my basic block patterns so I have another sewing tool with Miss Quinn to make my future patterns work more often.

The apricot Paloma top, red denim skirt and green Paloma dress are all new projects.

There’s no such thing as a bad pattern when you know your measurements and body shape contours.

The two tops are Butterick 3390 bought for 50c for a Summer shell top.
