Last year I trained to do the body scans for Mimiquins UK.
What you’re looking at is my body from Mimiquins.
As you can see, I’m in sewing heaven trying various prints for a future skirt on a simple A line skirt.

All the scans I run in Australia are listed on the Mimiquins website. All the arrangements are through Mimiquins.

I love working out new sewing projects using my Mimiquin body.

I call my Mimiquin ‘Miss Quinn’. Not original but she’s been a huge help fitting clothes.

I was finally able to see the hem on my chanel type jacket was wonky and the pink jacket hem is now totally level.
The denim dress neckline worked a dream using Ms Quinn.

Can you see how the final hem on the left is better balanced than the right? That was a simple fitting fix I did one morning with Miss Quinn’s help.

Above is the final neckline I created on a previous Pauline Alice Patterns Sorolla dress I pattern tested in 2024. I can wear this dress now and feel really good wearing it.

The balance of these clothes were much easier to see with Miss Quinn’s help.

Miss Quinn’s waistline is my waistline. This Liesl and Co dress is a favourite but I couldn’t understand why it felt a bit big.
The answer is the bodice is 3cm too long at centre front. At the bust darts it’s 2cm too long.
With Miss Quinn’s help I am now unpicking the front waist and resewing the skirt to the shortened bodice. Then I’ll adjust the pattern piece and feel much more confident to sew this dress again and again.
