✨ Amira Dress – My First Designer Stitch Pattern Test ✨

The very first dress I tested for @designerstitch was the Amira Dress, and it’s still one of my favourites! 💕

This design offers so many styling options:
✔ Tie cuffs on short sleeves
✔ Long sleeve shirred cuffs
✔ Short sleeve shirred cuffs
✔ Scoop back or modest horizontal back

All finished with:
💖 Sweetheart neckline
💖 Gathered ruffle hem
💖 Side pockets
💖 Cup sizes A–DD(E)

I recently gave my Amira a little revamp:
🔸 Added a waistband for extra shape
🔸 Modified the skirt for length and fullness
🔸 Tweaked the sleeves with shirring and elastic
It took time (and a few maths headaches 😅), but now it feels timeless and perfect for me.

Every time I sew with Ann’s patterns, I learn something new about fit and technique. Her drafting is amazing, and her knowledge is endless!
