Sorolla dress

70’s vibes, frills, and princess seams – the Sorolla pattern is all about timeless elegance.

When Pauline @paulinealice_patterns first developed this design in 2024, I tested this pattern in this print I had on hand back then.

Fast forward to my recent wardrobe refresh, and I decided to give this test dress a better life with a few tweaks:
✔️ Adjusted the fit using those handy princess seams
✔️ Created a new V-neckline facing for a softer look
✔️ Shortened the hemline to suit my style

The front yoke made the neckline adjustment a breeze, and now this dress feels right for me.

That’s the beauty of sewing – making clothes that fit your life, your style and your needs.

Big thanks to Pauline for always cheering me on (10+ years of pattern testing and counting!). She loved this Sorolla version, and honestly, so do I.

Here’s to a new year of rethinking, reworking, and creating pieces that truly work for us. This Sorolla version is just the start – more soon!

🧵It’s not wasted unless you don’t wear it 🧵
