Linley top revisit

✨ Linley Top Revisited πŸ“βœ”οΈπŸ€“

Yesterday was all about slow recovery and a little creative problem-solving. I decided to make some of my existing clothes fit my shape better.

Enter Miss Quinn – my trusty Mimiquin body! @mimiquins

She helps me objectively see where adjustments are needed without calling a friend at odd hours (because β€œCan you help me adjust this top? It’ll only take 5 minutes” isn’t always practical!).

In 2024, I sewed a few versions of the @designerstitch Designer Stitch Linley Top, and this one features a gorgeous @minervadotcom Minerva print. Swipe to see the original version – it was about 6cm too long for my torso.

After hemming, I realised I also needed 4cm less in the back bodice at the waistline. Once the side tie was closed, the seams sat too far forward, so I pinned out the fullness at the back.

Now? I have a Linley Top that pairs perfectly with the Peyton jeans I made last year.

No need to discard and start over – just a few tweaks for a better fit!
βœ… Easy care

This outfit is easy to wear in the car, hence the seated tag below in the comments
