Ann of Designer Stitch has released Pia Vest pattern.
There are 2 versions of this vest. I chose the basic front button version.

Being the sewing nerd, my first version is the gingham version.

I made a few adjustments to the test version to then create this version, to line up the lines of the fabric. Fabrics and buttons are from my stash.
Pattern mods on size 5, C Cup were:
Sway back adjustment; shorten the body by 2cm; removed 2cm on the bodice front above the bust; removed fullness at the front hem points.

This black brocade and buttons were also in my stash.
After wearing clothes that didn’t define my shape, testing this pattern made me feel more comfortable with my current shape.

I knew sewing this black brocade would pair with this skirt I sewed for Frocktails last year. Now I have another life for this skirt for this year’s frocktails, as an option.
No last-minute panic sewing for me this year.
I may find a winter fabric to sew a winter version to wear right now, because it’s cold here.
Love the waistcoats – your pattern matching on the check version is supreme!
