International Women’s Day

Here’s the blouse I made using remnant fabric from Minerva dot com.

The original garment was made during a Susan Khalje class that was a dream dress in 2017. The fabric was John Kaldor so I wasn’t going to get rid of the remnants.

For this first version of this blouse it was really wonky.

The collars didn’t sit right or match.

Love the buttons but I had no idea what was going on the front of this blouse.

After toiling Burda 6533 in green cotton, I did a C cup adjustment.

The back sat better once I changed the collars and adjusted the button placement.

The sleeves are more puffy at the elbow because I wanted to show of the fabric drape. I did a very easy pattern adjustment on the sleeve.

Yay. I’ve now used the remaining pieces of this print for a blouse I can wear now.

Gotta love having the patience to adjust a pattern and bring new life to remnant fabrics.
