This is another pattern test for Liesl and Co.

I like the instructions Liesl provides and I learn something new every time.
The version I sewed was View B and D cup. I sewed this dress initially in a very light weight linen (orange). Then in the John Kaldor remnant.

The key thing I did was place the gathers at the waist were mainly under by bust and not too many at the sides of the waist.
My waist is bigger than in previous years so gathers in the right spot makes a difference to me.
One thing I’ve learnt is to use a snap at the back neck opening.
Sometimes I can’t get the thread chain to work properly for a button closure. I know I need to practice this technique.

Initially I found the first version (blue) neckline was a bit too high. On the second version I lowered the neckline by 3cm. Once I compared both dresses, I then liked the first version better. But I got that out of my system.
